With Tower vs. Without

A tower is a vertical frame attached to the end of the reformer, adding springs, straps, and a push-through bar for standing and kneeling exercises the reformer alone can't do. Adding a tower substantially expands what you can teach or train on one machine, but it also takes up more space and adds to the cost. If you already have separate tower equipment, or your programming doesn't call for it, a standard reformer covers the core exercises on its own.

A few reformers are built with an elevated working height specifically for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or clients with reduced mobility, making it easier to get on and off the machine safely.
